BRUSSELS, 19 November, 2010 - Pierre Wiertz, general manager of EDANA, the trade association serving the nonwovens and related industries has announced its programme of events and training courses scheduled for 2011, and an overview of the planned activities into 2012.

“Today, more than ever, businesses need access to effective, targeted events which offer valuable education opportunities and information, as well as the opportunity to engage with their business partners and colleagues. EDANA is addressing the current needs of the industry, while exploring links with new or expanding markets for future growth and development” Said Wiertz.

As the leading event in 2011, INDEX11, the world’s leading nonwovens exhibition will bring the nonwovens and supporting industries, both up- and down-stream, together in Geneva from 12th - 15th April 2011.

2011 will also see the tenth edition of Outlook, the leading Personal Care conference, which will return to Budapest, Hungary on the 28th-30th September, following the outstanding success of the 2010 conference. Meeting the need of the industry to plan for future events, EDANA is also pleased to announce the tentative date for the following event, which will be held the week of the 24th September, 2012 in Barcelona, Spain.
Future events are also planned for the Middle East and North Africa (early 2012) and Istanbul (early to mid 2012), providing a single, powerful voice which represents, protects and actively promotes the common interests of nonwovens and their related industries throughout the world.

“By offering unique networking opportunities across a vertically integrated supply chain, and representing the market at global summits and events held by INDA, ANFA and other associations across the globe, EDANA complements its membership services, providing industry representatives with a comprehensive range of information and data necessary for them to enhance their performance.” Said Abby Bailey, director of marketing and communications for EDANA.
