EDANA launches its new look website

Following the biggest and best INDEX ever, EDANA has now launched a brand new, completely redesigned website.
2008 has been an important year for EDANA in communicating the diversity, versatility and innovation of the nonwovens industry and its products. Following the biggest and best INDEX ever, EDANA has now launched a brand new, completely redesigned website,, which provides a permanent online repository of information on nonwovens, the industry and the association. Although the URL,, has not changed, the site itself is completely different.

‘I wanted our new website to reflect the dynamic, innovative and unique nature of nonwovens, and to bring their many facets and applications to life’, said Catherine Lennon, EDANA’s Communications Director. ‘I think the fresh new look, easy navigation and host of new features will enable visitors from both inside and outside the industry to quickly find the information they are looking for in a refreshing and intuitive environment’.

The website not only boasts a new look and feel but there is also a significant amount of brand new content. There are now, for example, dedicated pages for sixteen of the main end-uses of nonwovens, detailing the advantages of using nonwovens, where they are used, technologies used and EDANA member companies providing products or services to that specific application. These are presented in an innovative interactive carousel on the homepage, allowing visitors unfamiliar with the industry to see the versatility of nonwovens at a glance.

The supplier search is a great tool for finding companies and their products at a click of the mouse. Web statistics reveal that this search was one of the most visited parts of the former EDANA website, and has thus been given a more prominent position on the homepage and is now also accessible from anywhere on the site.

Other new features include:
  • Online registration and payment for EDANA’s events, training courses and publications
  • RSS feed, enabling visitors to receive automated updates according to their interests
  • An integrated e-communications system, which provides a comprehensive members-only service comprising

    • Document management system
    • Surveys
    • Chats and Forums
EDANA, who currently manages four websites (listed below), plans to re-invigorate its two product-specific ones (*) during the course of the next year.
