Technical and Sustainability Forum

EDANA is pleased to announce its first Technical & Sustainability Forum which will be held on the 21st and 22nd of April, 2009 at the European Committee for Standardisation (CEN).
EDANA is pleased to announce its first Technical & Sustainability Forum which will be held on the 21st and 22nd of April, 2009 at the European Committee for Standardisation (CEN).  The Forum includes a dedicated sustainability focus and has been designed to provide information and updates on flushability, web formation, changes to MSDS, revised SAP methods, the WSP test method 351 on Ethanol and ISO activities.

Topics crossing into both technical and sustainability issues will include an address on the environmental impact of fibres, and panel discussion on biopolymers.  As an introduction, Dr Martin Patel from Utrecht University will present the role of polymers from renewable sources from sustainability, technical, economic and political perspective.

Also included will be an update on EDANA regulatory activities and support on REACH, including the dedicated portal providing support, information and guidance on issues relating to registration and company requirements.  

The Technical and Sustainability Forum is open to all EDANA members, and is dedicated to those technical issues driving the nonwovens and related industries.
