Nonwovens Innovation Academy: Call for Papers

NIA creates a bridge between academia and industry

EDANA has opened its Call for Papers for the 2015 Nonwovens Innovation Academy, which provides a forum for the exchange of ideas and research results and encourages the development of technical understanding and knowledge to support the future growth of the nonwovens industry.

The 2015 Symposium, hosted by the University of Leeds (UK), makes the connection between member companies, academic experts and future industry technical and research employees, to share information about technological developments.

The conference topics will focus on performance enhancement, emerging products and technologies, and carbon fibre composites, however proposed papers are sought on any topic in a multi-disciplinary spirit contributing to the advancement of the nonwovens and related industries.

Persons interested in submitting an abstract for either a speaking role, or the poster session must use the template on the dedicated page on the EDANA website (http://www.edana.org/education-events/conferences-and-symposia/event-detail/nonwovens-innovation-academy2015), and sent to eva.fabbri@edana.org by the 15th May, 2015.

“The NIA promotes fundamental understanding and knowledge of the science and technology of nonwoven fabrics, products and processes, and provides a unique opportunity for both relaxed networking and structured meetings between researchers, students specialising in nonwovens or related fields, and potential employers.” said Pierre Wiertz, general manager of EDANA.
