If you are a newcomer to the industry or you want to refresh your basics on nonwovens, this course is tailored for you.

This course offers: 

  • 1 module of 2 hours from 10.00 to 12.00 CET
  • An opportunity to learn about basic manufacturing technologies and materials being used for the wide range of today’s nonwovens products.
  • an online platform to meet and network with fellow professionals in the nonwovens industry
  • a good introduction if you intend to follow the nonwovens intermediate training courses or the absorbent hygiene products training or the filtration training course. All info about the other trainings can be found here

This course will cover the following topics: web forming technologies, web consolidation technologies, raw materials. It also comprises a brief introduction to standards, test methods and the production and consumption of nonwovens in Europe.

Marines Lagemaat
Scientific & Technical Affairs Director
EDANA

Marines Lagemaat is the Scientific and Technical Affairs Director for EDANA, the international Association representing the nonwoven and related industries, a position he has held since September 2014.

Based in Brussels, Marines is responsible for managing the internal and external activities related to scientific and technical affairs in order to support the nonwoven industry, in all its applications: personal and household hygiene, medical protection, filtration, automotive, and construction.  In this role he’s involved in the development and  implementation of standards and their related test methods that serve as a reference for the industry and for fair trade. In addition, Marines manages various training and education programmes designed to provide technical and application-oriented support. Marines is of Dutch nationality.
