Student grants

EDANA actively supports students who are looking to do a career in the Nonwovens and related industries by providing different platforms to present their work and research to the industry.  

In the frame of the Nonwovens Innovation Academy, EDANA provides Student grants. It covers the registration fee to the conference, two hotel nights, and agreed travel expenses. Note that grant allocations are subjected to submission and presentation of a research poster. 

Eligible to apply for the Nonwovens Innovation Academy student grant:

  • undergraduate students in at least the second year of study planning to undertake a dissertation in a nonwovens or related field
  • postgraduate students planning or undertaking a dissertation or a research degree in nonwovens or a related field
  • Students and researchers applying for the grant must be based in Europe

To apply, students should send:

  • a motivation letter
  • a recommendation from one of their professors
  • submit a research poster

Research posters

Posters should showcase research work that started in the previous academic year or is about on-going, academic research. Students and researchers can explain their research to delegates during the coffee and lunch breaks. Awards for the most outstanding poster presentation of students will be granted during the evening cocktail. 

The winners will be invited to present their research at INDEX23.

Poster proposals should include one A4 summary of the research and 3-4 bullet points summarising the poster.

Guiding principles for the poster:  Novelty - Significance -  Rigour
