EDANA working groups explained

Working groups carry out specific projects or activities to implement short and mid-term objectives;

They are only established where there is a clear and valid reason, supported by member companies and subject-matter experts.

Working Groups	Targets
Absorbent Hygiene Products	Companies active in the absorbent hygiene products global market. The products represented are baby diapers, feminine sanitary protection and absorbent incontinence care products.
Automotive Nonwovens	Companies active in the nonwovens market for vehicles. With a focus on automotive interior including hood, trunk and body (e.g. wheel houses) and excluding filtration (engine intake air, cabin air, oil, gas, etc.)
Bituminous Roofing Membranes	Direct suppliers of the bituminous membranes industry
Circular Economy for personal and healthcare	Consists of representatives with expertise in sustainability, of companies active in the personal and healthcare products area. It is established to manage all activities related to promote circularity, in collaboration with relevant stakeholders. The products covered include wet wipes, medical devices and absorbent hygiene products
Construction	Companies active in the construction market, products represented are geotextiles, roofing and flooring, thermal and acoustic insulation, pitched roof and house wrap
Events Development	Supports and develops the EDANA calendar of conferences and symposia
EU Nonwoven-based Face Masks Supply Chain	Companies which produce or convert nonwovens into face masks, or supply raw materials upstream of these, in the European Union
European Superabsorbent Polymers	Producers of superabsorbent polymers. The products represented are crosslinked partially neutralised polyacrylates (superabsorbent polyacrylates)
Film Producers	Producers of film for the hygiene and medical industry
Filtration	Companies with activities in the filtration media market, this includes dust filters, HVAC filters and automotive filters
Global Superabsorbent Polymers for the AHPs Supply Chain	Producers of superabsorbent polymers defined as crosslinked partially neutralised polyacrylates (superabsorbent polyacrylates), and companies which convert these to put end products on the market. These end products include absorbent hygiene products containing superabsorbent polymers.
Incontinence Products Testing	Companies that have activities in the area of incontinence care
Infection Prevention	Companies active in the area of Medical Devices, in particular medical gowns and drapes as well as face masks.
Nonwoven Producers	Producers of nonwovens
Quality & Auditing Programme	Companies who are involved in the absorbent hygiene products supply chain. The QAP Working Group is actively involved in managing the EDANA standard and the auditing programme for suppliers in the hygiene industry, including its strategic and operational elements
Regulatory & Chemical Management	Companies with a wide range of activities in regulatory and chemical management who provide guidance about these issues to EDANA
Support to Nonwovens Innovation and R&D	Provides EDANA member companies with a platform and pool of advice and expertise in the areas of innovation and R&D, of innovation and talent management, with a particular emphasis on technological expertise
Sustainability for nonwoven durable applications	Consists of representatives with expertise in sustainability of companies active in durable/industrial nonwovens applications. The products covered include all nonwoven durable applications such as e.g. agriculture, automotive, construction, filtration and geotextiles..
Sustainability for personal and healthcare	Consists of representatives with expertise in sustainability, of companies active in the personal and healthcare products area. It is established to manage all activities related to sustainability and environmental matters. The products covered include wet wipes, medical devices and absorbent hygiene products.
Tests and Standards	Provides guidance and direction for various technical and scientific activities in which EDANA is engaged on behalf of our members and supports all activities that EDANA offers.
Trade	Addresses all matters related to customs, tariffs, duties and trade for nonwovens and related products
Wet Wipes	Companies involved in the nonwoven wet wipes product supply chain.
