    • Nonwovens production in Greater Europe increased in volume by 3.3% to reach 2,395,098 tonnes in 2016
    • This compares with growth rates in the two previous growths of 3.7% in 2015 and 5.2% in 2014, on a comparable basis
    • The estimated total turnover of the European nonwoven roll goods industry in 2016 is around 7,583 million €

    Employment

    • Our estimate based on answers from many member companies indicates that the total figure of people employed for nonwoven production in Europe increased in 2016 by around 6.0%, and is estimated now at nearly 27,000 people.
