Innovation tool

In 2005 EDANA commissioned Arthur D. Little to carry out a diagnosis of the quality of innovation management in the nonwovens business in Europe. Over 30 companies participated and used the innovation management learning framework (Innovation Health Check) to benchmark their performance.

The main findings of this diagnostic were the recognition that:
  • managing innovation well is of crucial importance to foster profitability and growth
  • the quality of the innovation process for most of the companies that participated needed significant and swift improvement
  • practical recommendations were made about where and how to accomplish these improvements
