CHAPTER 1 Nonwovens Introduction

The opening segment provided a briefing on nonwovens as a material category: what they are, how they differ from conventional textiles and woven fabrics, and why foundational knowledge of nonwovens is essential for cross-functional success within any business operating in the value chain. This introduction is designed to onboard new colleagues, inform commercial teams, and provide a shared technical language across departments.

CHAPTER 2 Nonwovens Essentials

The second segment focused on manufacturing processes and material properties, the technical core of the nonwovens curriculum. Attendees were guided through the principal production technologies (including spunbond, meltblown, carded, and needlepunched processes), the performance properties these technologies deliver, and how material selection drives performance outcomes in end-use applications.

CHAPTER 3 Sustainability Introduction

Sustainability is no longer a peripheral concern, it is a core strategic and commercial imperative. This segment covered the key regulatory frameworks shaping sustainability requirements for nonwovens, including the EU Green Deal, Extended Producer Responsibility (EPR) schemes, and the push towards circularity.
