Nonwovens Advanced Carding - What to expect? 

 

Go a step further with this 2-day advanced course to focus on understanding the various production parameters in nonwoven manufacturing, and how these can be used to modify product properties in the area of carding.

This course is part of the Nonwovens Learning Cycle™, organised in collaboration with CETI (European Center for Innovative Textiles). The cycle offers an integrated approach to nonwovens from the basics, to intermediate, and advanced courses.

By attending this training, nonwovens professionals are invited to capitalize on CETI’s facilities which features a unique range of combinations of web-forming and bonding machinery.

Guillaume Cambronne – Fibres Project Manager, CETI

Textile Engineer with more than 8 years of experience working at CETI, Guillaume has developed an expertise in nonwoven carding, airlay processes, and mechanical recycling. Over the years, he gained extensive knowledge in developing and optimizing textile products for sustainable textile manufacturing, particularly in the areas of nonwoven fabrics and textile recycling. Guillaume is passionate about innovation and advancing eco-friendly solutions within the textile industry.

Moussa Benbalouli  – Fibres Technician, CETI

Moussa is a highly experienced expert in carding nonwovens with over 30 years of hands-on experience in the industry. Throughout his career, he has worked at Andritz Asselin-Thibeau company, where he held key roles as both a Machine fitter and chief operator. Moussa joined CETI in 2013 and is the technician in charge of the carding process.

Thibaut Dedeurwaerder – R&D Project Manager, CETI

Thibaut graduated obtained a Bachelor's degree in innovative textiles from ENSAIT. He is now working at CETI as Project Manager on methods and industrial transfer. Thanks to a previous career in paper and printing industries, he has moved to the textile industry by passion to contribute to create tomorrow textiles. Thibaut gained expertise in fibres, transforming textile processes and product development.

Process Engineers, Product Managers, Raw Materials Managers, R&D Managers, R&D Project Managers, QA Managers. Such people are likely involved with Producers, Suppliers, Converters and Retailers within the industry..

Methodology

A course based on the efficient combination of classroom training through theory, practical workshop training on real pilot equipment, information exchange and interactions with the R&D engineer and the technicians. Practical use of different supports: PowerPoint support, videos, pictures, samples and pilot equipments.

Language

The course language is exclusively English.

Number of participants

Each course is limited to 6 delegates for an optimal interaction between the participants and the CETI's team during the course and the practical workshop on the platform.

Level of the course

In order to fully benefit from this course, it is advised to have the basis and a good understanding of nonwovens manufacturing. Before joining any of the Advanced courses, it is recommended to attend the Nonwovens essentials course.
